TV adaptation ‘Wayward Pines’ sees yet more new faces enter its small town. The cast of the new Fox show bought to us by M. Night Shyamalan (‘The Sixth Sense’) and writer Chad Hodge has been slowly but surely building up an impressive line-up for a small screen project and now two more names have been added. Tim Griffin (‘Prime Suspect USA’) and the young Charlie Tahan (‘Frankenweenie’) have joined the cast with Griffin set to play Adam Hassler, the agent in charge of the Secret Service and Ethan’s (played by Matt Dillon) boss. Tahan will be playing Ethan and Theresa’s (Shannyn Sossamon) son. Griffin and Tahan join the likes of Juliette Lewis (‘From Dusk Till Dawn’), Carla Gugino (‘Sucker Punch’), Terence Howard (‘Crash’), Toby Jones (‘Berberian Sound Studio’) and Melissa Leo (‘Red State’) who are all currently on board. The show is based on the original novel by Blake Crouch.
“Ethan Burke (Dillon) is a Secret Service agent who arrives in the bucolic town of Wayward Pines, Id., on a mission to find two missing federal agents. But instead of answers, Ethan’s investigation only turns up more questions. Each step closer to the truth takes Ethan further from the life he knew, from the husband and father he was, until he must face the terrifying reality that he may never get out of Wayward Pines alive.”
