Arriving on DVD here in the UK on the 9 December is ‘Thanatomorphose’ the new stomach-turning project from French filmmaker Éric Falardeau. And of all the DVD covers I’ll no doubt be glancing at during my Christmas shop this year the ‘Thanatomorphose’ cover this will definitely be one that’ll stick in my mind – for all the wrong reasons. The new ‘rotting’ artwork may be disturbing to say the least but at least it’s wholly relevant to the movie’s title which is a French word that translates to the visible signs of an organism’s decomposition caused by death. The sexy Kayden Rose, Davyd Tousignant, Émile Beaudry, Karine Picard, Roch-Denis Gagnon, Éryka L. Cantieri, Pat Lemaire and Simon Laperrière all star. Head below to check out the new artwork.
“Discovering several bruises on her body after a night of rough sex, a young woman is shocked as, rather than heal itself, her body begins rotting from the inside out. She faces a terrifying and gory descent into a living death, as her putrefying body begins to literally ‘fall off the bone’.”
