Very much like the problems ‘Cabin in the Woods’ faced in the past a project that is also having a bit of a struggle for release is Joe Lynch’s (‘Holliston’) comedy horror feature ‘Knights of Badassdom’. Thankfully, however, after being acquired by eOne back in the Summer it appears the movie will now be seeing an On Demand and Digital release on 11 February 2014. Word was that the studio would also be pushing it out into theatres. Sadly this is not exactly accurate. If you want to see KOB in your theatre then you’re gonna have to give it a Tugg. You can bring the movie to your city from 21 January 2014 by requesting it at the Tugg link at the bottom of this story. Oh and by the way, it’s not even the director’s cut! So a mixed bag of news there…’Knights of Badassdom’ stars Ryan Kwanten (‘True Blood’), the sexy Summer Glau -below (‘Firefly’), Peter Dinklage (‘Game of Thrones’), Steve Zahn, Jimmi Simpson (‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’) and Danny Pudi (‘Community’).
“After being dumped by his sexy girlfriend Beth, Joe (Kwanten) reluctantly decides to join Eric (Zahn) and his LARPing (Live Action Role Players) friends in the woods rather than stay behind and feel sorry for his newly single status. There he meets hot, ass-kicking, intimidating LARPer Gwen (Glau) and finds himself plunged into a surreal adventure wilder than he ever imagined when a make-believe wizard casts an all-too-real spell from an ancient book. That spell releases an actual demon with a taste for human blood — and souls — that starts systematically decimating the players in this suddenly deadly “game.” Will our guys become the heroes they have been pretending to be before time runs out?”
