The new red-band trailer for Bong Joon-ho’s upcoming sci-fi adaptation of ‘Snowpiercer’ has just pulled up to the station. It certainly brings new life to the project of which we’ve seen a minor assortment of teasers and images so far and will likely pique a little more interest in those whom were thinking of skipping this one. It’s due for release next month after a time consuming battle between the filmmaker and producers. And it stars Chris Evans (‘Avengers Assemble’), Tilda Swinton (‘Vanilla Sky’), Jamie Bell (‘King Kong’), Song Kangho (‘Thirst’), Ko Asung (‘The Host’), John Hurt (‘Dr Who’) and Luke Pasqualino (‘Skins’). ‘Snowpiercer’ also stars Ewen Bremner (‘Trainspotting’), Octavia Spencer (‘The Help’), Alison Pill and Ed Harris. Check out the trailer below.
“SNOWPIERCER is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snow Piercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.”
‘Snowpiercer’ opens in US theatres on 27 June.
