CRAVEN & REMAKE?

Remember ‘Alice’? The movie based on the video game that might’ve starred Mila Jovivich that Wes Craven was suppose to direct? Well forget about it, Craven has fallen prey to the ‘remake’ syndrome.
‘American McGee’s Alice’ has been turned into a PG-13, CG film. Go figure. Craven may still direct but for now it’s still in the ‘script phase.’
Fangoria first hinted at this in their new issue (#214.) Apparently Craven is focusing on doing a remake. Reports say that Dimension Films has Wes Craven remaking Kiyoshi Kurosawas (pulp director and famous director on the indie circuit) ‘Pulse’ which is the story of a haunted computer disc that spreads its ghostly virus over the Internet. Then, the movie explodes into nightmarish visions of the apocalypse as this ghostly apparitions find there way out. One reviewer said, ‘Pulses best scenes are so magisterial and disturbing that you may want to crawl under your chair.’
Apparently Dimension is trying to get Kirsten Dunst, to star.
