GILLIAM and GRIMM
After Ehren Kruger told Fango last week that THE BROTHERS GRIMM was getting closer to signing a director and moving into pre-production (here), today, the Hollywood Reporter is reporting than none other than Terry Gilliam has signed on to direct the project for MGM and Mosaic Media Group.
The project, described as having the real-life Brothers Grimm going from town to town ‘pretending to protect townsfolk from enchanted creates’ until they actual come face-to-face with a ‘real sorceress’ with ‘terrifying powers,’ sounds a lot like GHOSTBUSTERS or THE FRIGHTENERS, so that should be fun.
The break goes on to say that the project, which has been in development for two years, is now aimed at a spring, 2003 start.
