HBO TO BRING BACK CARNIVALE
According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO has greenlighted a new 13-episode season of CARNIVALE, the supernatural limited series that just concluded its first run. Created by Daniel Knauf, the show centered on the battle between good and evil being waged at a Depression-era carnival, and featured genre vets Clancy (THE BRIDE) Brown, Clea (IDENTITY) DuVall and Michael (TWIN PEAKS) Anderson. Though not a ratings monster on the order of HBO’s THE SOPRANOS, CARNIVALE actually saw a surge in viewership in the latter part of its first season, leading to the decision to bring it back. New episodes will begin rolling in the spring to begin airing in late 2004.
