SCORPIO FILMS SETS PAIR OF CHILLLERS
Rhode Island-based Scorpio Film Releasing has announced the launch of its new website here, getting the ball rolling for a pair of horror films it has coming in 2004. RAVE TO THE GRAVE (pictured), co-written by Trent (TERROR FIRMER) Haaga, will open in New England theaters in late spring, while PRETTY DEAD THINGS, based on a screen story by Scott (DRIVE) Phillips, will be released in late summer. Both movies feature makeup FX by Ben Chester and were produced, directed and co-scripted by Scorpio Films head of production Richard Griffin, who previously helmed adaptations of Shakespeares TITUS ANDRONICUS and ROMEO AND JULIET and plans to produce and distribute four fright films a year, with another (also scripted by Haaga) set to roll this coming May.
