BRUCE CAMPBELL FLOWING AT FRESHWATER
You cant keep those pesky velociraptors down, and Freshwater Entertainment and 100% Entertainment have uncovered some more on RAPTOR ISLAND. Scheduled to premiere on the Sci Fi Channel later this year, the movie stars Lorenzo Lamas as the leader of a team of Navy SEALs trying to take down an international terrorist/arms smuggler; the pursuit leads to a volcanic atoll in the South China Sea where everybody is soon on the run from the prehistoric monsters. Stanley (WITHIN THE ROCK) Isaacs directed from a script he wrote with Dean Widenmann; veteran David Worth (who directed the SHARK ATTACK movies) was the cinematographer, with CGI raptors by Unreal Productions.
Freshwater is also involved with a pair of Sci Fi-bound features thatll star Fango fave Bruce Campbell. The first is ALIEN APOCALYPSE, a sci-fi actioner from Josh Becker, who directed Campbell in THOU SHALT NOT KILLEXCEPT, LUNATICS: A LOVE STORY and RUNNING TIME. Next up is the long-mooted MAN WITH THE SCREAMING BRAIN, which will mark Campbells directorial debut and star him as a vicious businessman who has a portion of a Latino gangsters brain implanted in his skull. Both of these will lens in Sofia, Bulgaria; ALIEN rolls in May and BRAIN shoots in late June or early July. More details on these as we find em out.
