Nick Mozak found a topic on the Troma’s forum that pointed to an article on Channel 68 Japan’s website, which reports that the crazy Japanese director Takashi Miiike is in final negotiations to direct a sequel to Sgt. Kabukiman NYPD. ‘He (Takashi Miike) goes on to promise this film will be more violent and intense than the original, delving deeper into the dark side of Sgt. Kabukiman’s origins. The reported budget is around 3.5 million, the biggest Takashi has ever worked with to date.’
