SHAUN TO CAMEO FOR ROMERO
Zombies. Everyone is going to want to be one when George Romero gets cameras rolling on his fourth living dead installment, Land of the Dead. Yessir, it’s going to be equivalent of trying to get into some swank New York City strip club. Some folks will have a tough time getting through the door (or into the makeup trailer), others will slip through like a breeze. Two cats that won’t be having a problem at all are Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg, creators of Shaun of the Dead (reviews), a loving wink to Romero’s Dead films. Rumor has it that the duo are indeed set to make a cameo in Land and Empire Magazine spoke with George in an interview to confirm or deny that rumor, here’s what he had to say…
‘Well, man, if they wanna do it!! Hey, I mean, forget it, it’s done! Ive never enjoyed a zombie movie as much as that – except for my own! Oh, God I spoke to those guys and they sent me all the DVDs of SPACED and I just loved that movie. I hope Shaun does very well over here – I heard it did well in the UK. I love those guys. Theyre doing a tour here, so I am hoping to hook up with them.’
Let’s hope that ‘hook up’ goes well. Look for Shaun of the Dead to arrive in US theaters September 24th from Rogue Pictures and stay tuned for continuing coverage of Land of the Dead.
