MASTERS TO AIR ON SCI-FI
Still widely unavailable on DVD or VHS, Mike Mendez and Dave Parker’s documentary, Masters of Horror, is making a return for those who may have missed its initial run on Showtime.
Fangoria reports that Masters will air this Halloween on the Sci Fi Channel at 9pm. It originally made its debut in 2002. Showtime gave it little advertising exposure and aired it weeks after the Halloween holiday had come and gone, which is a shame because this Bruce Campbell-hosted special is a must-see.
Not to be confused with the recently announced Mick Garris anthology television series of the same name, Masters of Horror was originally developed as a sequel to Universal and FlixMix’s Boogeymen DVD. With The Convent’s Mike Mendez and The Dead Hate the Living’s Dave Parker aboard, the project took on a life of its own and became, well, way better than its predecessor.
