CURSED LIKE SCREAM?

Creature Corner reported that 'Scream' trilogy star Neve Campbell will join the cast of Wes Craven's werewolf tale, 'Cursed'. Well, that completes the triumvirate: Craven, Kevin Williamson, Neve Campbell. Throw Arquette and Cox in there, and we're in trouble.

Entertainment Tonight reportedly broke this scoop which, on one hand, is a bit hard to swallow, but on the other hand, is easy to believe. Think about it. Dimension Films had to literally twist Campbell's arm to star in 'Scream 3'. The term 'star' taken very lightly. The girl's barely in the film and she doesn't have jack-shit to do. She didn't want to be in it. She made it quite clear in interviews that she was beyond the horror movie thing. She's gonna take a role in a werewolf flick? Sounds shady.

Then again...

Look where her career's gone: Matthew Perry comedies ('Three to Tango'), Jamie Lee Curtis comedies ('Drowning Mona'), and sexy thrillers ('Wild Things') where she kisses other chicks - um, I take back any negativity of that last example. What I'm getting at is perhaps she's coming around to the fact that she needs a little exposure again, that is, other than appearing on red carpets for a photo op in 'In Style' magazine.
