PIRATES 2: CHOW & TITLE
There’s been a rumor floating around that the subtitle for the upcoming PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 2 is ‘Treasure of the Lost Abyss’. Not so says a scooper who pointed Joblo to the ‘Johnny Depp Fan’ messageboards where someone posted their experience attending the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN event at El Capitan where the screenwriters and other crew members were discussing the movie. According to the scooper ‘They said that the subtitle for the second film would NOT be ‘Treasure of the Lost Abyss’, as widely reported, but will instead be ‘Dead Man’s Chest’.’
They further mentioned that Keith Richards will not be in the second film. We’ll see in the next few months if this is confirmed by the studio.
In other Pirates 2 news it looks like Chow Yun-Fat’s a lock for the both forthcoming sequels.
According to Monkey Peaches, Yun-Fat, who would play pirate Zhang Baozai (Cheung Po-Tasi) in the films, has been spotted around Hong Kong with a beard and slightly more muscular frame.
Director Gore Verbinski, who flew to Hong Kong to coax the action star into the role, has asked the actor to grow a beard and get muscly for his role.
