WES IN GHOST RIDER

Remember when AMERICAN BEAUTY came out in theaters and Wes Bentley was the new 'It Boy'? He seemed to have the looks and the chops everyone was looking for. But after a starring role in the flop FOUR FEATHERS, not much ever materialized in his acting career. Well now the dude is getting a jumpstart thanks to a starring role alongside Nicolas Cage in GHOST RIDER. Bentley will play the film's villain, Blackheart, the son of the devil who's looking to displace his father and create a new hell even worse than the one that exists (Is that even possible? It's hell...how could it get worse?). Of course it's up to Nic Cage/Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider to stop him. Mark Steven Johnson (DAREDEVIL) will direct from a script by Shane Salerno. The film is set to begin shooting this spring in Australia. Up next for Cage is the family drama THE WEATHERMAN from director Gore Verbinski.
