Corn Actor Directs Madness
Actor Brandon Kleyla, who played the villainous Josiah in the fourth CHILDREN OF THE CORN film and also the young James Whale in Bill Condons Oscar-winning GODS AND MONSTERS, is stepping behind the camera to direct the psychothriller MADNESS. Inspired by true events, the movie focuses on an artist whose life takes a turn for the worst on what would be the biggest night of his life, according to Kleyla, who also scripted. Were going for a Hitchcockian feel. Audiences are intelligent. We dont have to show them everything. Use your imagination. What did you really see?
Kleyla plans to begin shooting in LA this fall, with Sean Hankinson, Trina (BOY MEETS WORLD) McGee and witchcraft expert Fiona Horne starring. Hes also negotiating with a number of genre favorite actors to come aboard. Attendees to this years San Diego Comic-Con can grab a limited-edition MADNESS poster at the SOTA Toys booth on Saturday, July 16. Keep on eye on the movies official website for further updates.
