A few more mysteries about Resident Evil 5 have been solved recently, but as with most high-profile games that are still years away from completion, the answers have just led to more questions.
Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi was interviewed recently for the magazine Fmitsu Xbox and talked at length about the work being done for RE 5, but he didn’t give any real solid details. For example, he would neither confirm nor deny that the main character is Chris Redfield (from the first game) but did re-assert that the team working on RE 5 are big fans of the character.
The biggest piece of news, however, was that Resident Evil 5 will be a continuation of the series’ overall storyline, unlike Resident Evil 4 was, and the developers are trying to decide if it will, indeed, be the conclusion to said arc. The details are still up in the air, so we might even see a resolution to Chris and Wesker’s fiasco, as well.
