Kyle Gass has joined the cast of the new indie horror film Dead and Gone, which already features rocker Ben Moody and English soap actor Quentin Jones. Gass will play The Reverend Grass, a TV Evangelist. The multi-talented star was was a founding member of Tim Robbin’s famed “The Actor’s Gang,” and has appeared in more than a dozen films, including “Elf,” “Shallow Hal” and “The Cable Guy.” Kyle and his pal Jack Black created the manic, platinum-selling act “Tenacious D.” Their feature debut, “Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny,” will be released in 2006.
