FANGORIA has learned that OMEN 666, now shooting in Prague has added two top-shelf British actors to its cast. The John Moore-directed remake will reunite DRAGONHEART players David Thewlis and Pete Postlethwaite. Thewlis will tackle the head-losing role that David Warner memorably essayed in the 1976 shocker, while Postlethwaite takes over as the dagger-wielding exorcist Bugenhagen limned by the late Leo McKern in the original. They join previously announced Liev Schreiber, Julia Stiles and Mia Farrow.
Thewlis appeared in the genre flicks AFRAID OF THE DARK, John Frankenheimer’s ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU and the recent HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZABAN and DINOTOPIA TV series. Postlethwaite faced off against creatures of all shapes and sizes in THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK, ALIEN 3 and SPLIT SECOND. His last memorable stint was as the creepy superintendent in the DARK WATER remake. Stop back here for more OMEN 666 details in the weeks ahead.
