The regional release date for NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 3D has been postponed once again. Director Jeff Broadstreet gave Fango the skinny on the delay: “We are not releasing the film on March 17, due to a couple of issues,” he tells us. “The CG visual effects have taken longer than expected to finish, and we also had a technical problem on the 3-D postproduction end of things that cost us a couple of weeks. So we are now looking at a fall release—probably mid-September, but I don’t have an exact date yet.” There may be a silver lining to the shift, however, as Broadstreet states: “The delay does allow us more time to explore a wider release.”
A Lux Digital Pictures and Midnight Movies presentation from Broadstreet’s genre firm The HorrorWorks, NOTLD 3D is a “reimagining” of Romero’s classic and stars Sid (THE DEVIL’S REJECTS) Haig, Greg (TOOLBOX MURDERS) Travis and Brianna (ENTOURAGE) Brown, with FX handled by Dean and Starr Jones of American Makeup & Effects company.
