Though we weren’t entirely familiar with TLA’s Danger After Dark DVD imprint, apparently it suffered at the hands of Tartan when TLA started to release all of their acquisitions. Now that Tartan has moved on to another distributor (details here), the Danger After Dark imprint is making its return.
Previously announced elsewhere, the first film they will put out under the revitalized banner will be Brett Leonard’s wildly controversial Feed, an over-the-top look at men who love their women large and will do anything to make them more so. Though not reviewed with high marks pretty much anywhere, Feed has been said to be unique if nothing else, and you can see for yourself when TLA releases it on July 18th.
According to Twitch, the Greek (!) zombie film Evil will follow on August 22nd, the Norwegian stunner Naboer (aka Next Door) will hit October 3rd, and the German film The Wedding Party rounds our their release slate on November 7th.
Good to see some of these more obscure films getting domestic DVD releases, and hopefully this is only the first of many new acquisitions TLA will make so we don’t have to track down these foreign titles using our usual nefarious methods. Stay tuned for more soon!
