Variety reports that Stan Winston Productions is gearing up to shoot THE DEATHS OF IAN in London beginning July 2. Mike Vogel from the TEXAS CHAINSAW remake stars in the title role of a young man who is murdered and then wakes up every day, finding himself in a slightly different life and facing another horrible end each time (a plot that sounds quite similar to that of this year’s Sundance entry SALVAGE, directed by Jeffrey and Joshua Crook). FX wizard Winston is producing with Brian Gilbert and Ralph Camp, with commercials veteran Dario Piana (once attached to the supernatural thriller SNAKESKIN and Phoenix Pictures’ WEREWOLF, a vehicle for rapper/actor DMX) directing from a script by Brendan (THEY) Hood. Winston’s previous producing credits include WRONG TURN and Lionsgate’s SKINWALKERS, which opens in December.
