With Rogue Pictures’ HITCHER remake currently shooting in Texas, Fango has learned that Neal McDonough has joined the cast.
He plays police captain Esteridge (the role essayed by Jeffrey DeMunn in the 1986 original), who tries to help out the youthful targets of the road-ranging serial killer played in the new film by SILENT HILL’s Sean Bean. McDonough, who made his feature debut in a bit role in DARKMAN, has also been seen in RAVENOUS, MINORITY REPORT and numerous action films and TV shows. Fango has also gotten word that the KNB EFX team, headed up by Greg Nicotero and Jake Garber, is creating the Hitcher’s grisly handiwork.
