While on the set of Sony Screen Gems’ Resident Evil: Extinction in Mexico City, Bloody-Disgusting had the opportunity to talk with the ever so nice Oded Fehr, who played Ardeth Bay in Universal Pictures’ The Mummy films. During the interview, he spilled some juicy bits on The Mummy 3, which has been rumored for quite some time now. Fehr returns as Carlos Olivera in the third Resident Evil adaptation…
“From what I know… they are writing one that’s totally different, in a different time,” Fehr tells Bloody-Disgusting, “Brendan [Fraser] and Rachel [Weisz] are in it.”
He also shares a little love for the franchise stating “I owe my career to the Mummy movies.”
In the new Resident Evil, which is being directed by Russell Mulcahy, Milla Jovovich is back as Alice, and she’s running with a new pack of humans, leading a caravan that’s cutting through the Nevada desert on a long trek to Alaska. Hunted by the minions of the perpetually scheming Dr. Isaacs, Alice has zombies hungry for her flesh (once again) and lab rats hungry for her blood – while Alice is hungry for only one thing: revenge.
