Moviehole reports that Will Gibson, the Australian cinematographer who lensed Greg McLean’s chilling debut feature WOLF CREEK and the writer/director’s upcoming ROGUE, has died. Gibson’s raw imagery helped give the low-budget CREEK its chilling immediacy, and a source who caught an advance screening of ROGUE indicates that his Outback location lensing of the killer-crocodile pic is strikingly colorful. ROGUE is slated to hit U.S. screens this fall following its theatrical debut in Australia this August.
