A recent article in The Wall Street Journal on the direct-to-DVD-movie trend hinted at the special features that will be found on RETURN TO HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL when that sequel hits disc later this year from Warner Home Video. Viewers of the film, directed by Victor Garcia and featuring genre fave Jeffrey Combs, will be given the option of choosing different storylines and selecting from among four alternate endings, making for a horrific home interactive experience.
This is just one of a number of DVD genre projects that producer/Dark Castle Entertainment topper Joel Silver has in the works; he’ll contribute 10 such features for Warner’s new Premiere disc line over the next three years. “You can really experiment and take more risks in direct-to-DVD,” Silver told the Journal.
