Mark Terry, producer of the new vampire opus LIVE EVIL, sent along the new photos seen below, the news that the latest trailer can be seen at its MySpace page and an update on how the movie is progressing. “Since we last spoke to you, a lot has gone on,” Terry tells Fango. “We are 100 percent wrapped and the film will be ready to release sometime in 2008. On one of our final shooting days, we added scream queen Tiffany Shepis [pictured below with Mark Hengst] to our cast; I believe that news was first broken via the Fango site by Tiffany herself,” i.e. here.
Director Jay Woelfel, pictured below with Terry and a bloodsucker baby prop on the last day of lensing, adds, “LIVE EVIL had 42 days of shooting in mostly difficult desert terrain. Horror fans are really going to enjoy the story we tell and all the blood we spill.”
For Terry, one of the joys of the production was working with star Tim Thomerson, who stars as a sword-wielding priest out to get a gang of ghouls. “As a filmmaker and fan myself, I have watched Tim Thomerson over the years,” he says. “The guy is a fantastic character actor, and can play anything. Recently, I’ve seem him in movies where he’s a lovable town sheriff or someone’s grandfather, and sometimes he gets killed off quickly. Seeing this stuff makes me upset; in my mind’s eye, and the films I love and remember, Tim Thomerson doesn’t get his ass kicked—he kicks ass, and that’s what people will see in LIVE EVIL.”
