Variety reports that Christopher Smith, the British director of the subterranean survival shocker CREEP and the satirical slasher SEVERANCE, has settled on the supernatural chiller TRIANGLE as his next project (and even got a funding grant from the UK Film Council to develop it). The story focuses on a group of people who survive the sinking of their yacht in the Bermuda Triangle and find what appears to be safety on an abandoned ocean liner. Of course, the big boat turns out not to be as empty as they thought, but is instead haunted by ghosts from the past. (Sounds a bit like a remake of 1980’s DEATH SHIP!) That’s all we know right now, but we’ll bring you updates as we hear them.
