Ellen Page, the fantastic young actress who is Oscar nominated for her fine performance in 'Juno' is signed up to appear in Sam Raimi's 'Drag Me to Hell'. Yes! Raimi is back in the horror realm - but this time he's back behind the camera! Yay!
"The film's described as a morality tale about the unwitting recipient of a supernatural curse. Pic marks a genre return for Raimi after directing a trio of "Spider-Man" films.
"Sam Raimi's return to horror is a cause for celebration," said Universal Pictures chairman Marc Shmuger and co-chairman David Linde. "Having Ellen Page onboard to star is an abundance of riches."
Raimi, who co-wrote the screenplay with his brother Ivan, will also be producing along with Robert Tapert under their Ghost House Pictures company. Universal Pictures will be distributing.
