Producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura has been speaking with io9 all about the progress of upcoming Stephen King re-adaption remake of ‘Pet Semetary’, everyone’s favourite tale of ancient indian burial grounds and reanimated pets and toddlers.
Di Bonaventura mentioned that it’s very unlikely a PG-13 ‘watered-down’ retelling would be on the cards (thankfully!). “How do you write what you already know?” said Di Bonaventura. “We’re going to try some new things in the first couple drafts and see how it plays.”
Scriber Matt Greenberg (‘Halloween: H20’, ‘1408’) has taken over the writing duties that David Kajganich was at one point on board to do.
