Award winning British director Danny Boyle (’28 Days Later’, ‘127 Hours’) may be returning to horror quicker than we expected. Of course there’s been rumours, even from the man himself, that he would return to the infectious ’28 Days Later’ franchise by helming the third installment (expected to be ’28 Months Later’). However, it seems that werewolves may be first on the agenda as BBC America report that Boyle’s collaborating screenwriter Simon Beaufoy is currently working on the adaption of Toby Barlow’s ‘Sharp Teeth’. Check out what Beaufoy had to say below.
“If I write it well enough, he’ll direct it,” says Beaufoy. “It’s an adaptation of a book by a writer called Toby Barlow and it’s a very extraordinary mix of gangland Los Angeles, really, really rough — a lot of shootings — and the difference with this particular piece of work is that these gangs can shape-shift at will into packs of dogs.”
