African actor Djimon Hounsou (‘Blood Diamond’, ‘Constantine’) is the latest star to join the cast of Alex Proyas’ epic Heaven and Hell battle royale ‘Paradise Lost’. Not to be confused with the Melissa George jungle horror released a few years back (named ‘Turistas’ stateside) but the new flick set to star Bradley Cooper (‘Limitless’) and Benjamin Walker (‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’). The movie is based on the poem by John Milton and will star Hounsou as Abdiel, the angel of death. Cooper is set to play Lucifer whilst Walker will play Michael in this “action-heavy take” on the classic piece of poetry.
“An action-heavy take on the epic poem centered on the war in heaven between archangels Michael and Lucifer.”
‘Paradise Lost’ will begin shooting down under in Sydney very soon.
