Jason Blum, the producer of ‘Paranormal Activity’ and it’s successful sequels as well as a number of other paranormal-esque movies and TV shows that include Oren Peli’s ‘The River’ and James Wan and Leigh Whannell’s ‘Insidious’, has optioned the rights to Fate Magazine. The 60+ year old mag which features an array of various real-life tales of aliens and the supernatural and other such relatable topics has been snapped up by the producer and Picture Shack Entertainment for the sole purpose of using their back catalogue as the inspiration for future film and TV projects. ‘Amazing Stories’ editor Raymond A. Palmer founded the mag way back in 1948 and Blum and Co certainly have endless source material at their fingertips to draw on. So hopefully some interesting projects to look forward to.
