NEW LEATHERFACE IMAGE
Not satisfied with Entertainment Weekly’s love it/hate it exclusive GQ-like look at the new Leatherface that surfaced last month? Feast your eyes on this. This is the first official publicity still of Leatherface working his magic on the set.
Since reports a few months back regarding heavy reshoots on Marcus Nispel’s ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ remake, many of us thought it was a tad extreme to shove the film back five months from its projected October release date. After all, we’re only talking reshoots. Major productions do it all the time and still make their release date.
But we’ve learned more since that news. For one, those ‘heavy’ reshoots were incredibly light. And, supposedly, a crowded season seemed to be the reason New Line flinched and moved ‘TCM’ until early ’04. Well, now Filmjerk is reporting that New Line’s has perhaps realized that maybe October ain’t so bad after all; they’ve pulled the remake back to its original release date slot. October 17th, to be precise.
Filmjerk also claims that Artisan’s ‘House of the Dead’ will establish itself in theaters just at the start of the school season: September 12th.
