It seems Christmas has come early this year as the proposed ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ movie remake seems to have been nixed entirely. Joss Whedon, creator of the 90’s Buffy-based TV series which starred the sexy Sarah Michelle Gellar (below) in all her glory, can sleep easy finally as it seems like this whole ‘remake’ project has fallen far short of script expectations. Website Hero Complex are reporting that they have heard whispers from two sources whom are close to the project that the script penned by writer Whit Anderson “fell far short of expectations and, in the end, was rejected completely”. Good news all round really for a totally unnecessary reboot so God bless us everyone. Aside from Gellar who starred as the vampire slaying sexpot in Whedon’s TV series actress Kristy Swanson also played the character in the Whedon penned original feature from 1992.
