Not adverse to making himself look a bit daft for the sake of his art Johnny Depp steps into the boots of vampire Barnabas Collins in his new role on Tim Burton’s ‘Dark Shadows’. And it wouldn’t be a Tim Burton project without Johnny plastering on the white make-up which you can see in the new still of Depp in character in the shot below. Along with the new still, courtesy of Cine Heroes, you can also check out another pic which features the first peek at Depp’s co-star Michelle Pfeiffer. ‘Dark Shadows’ is a feature adaption of Dan Curtis’ cult 60’s TV series that ran for 5 years. Michelle Pfeiffer (‘What Lies Beneath’), Helena Bonham Carter (‘The King’s Speech’), Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley (‘Watchmen’), Jonny Lee Miller (‘Trainspotting’, ‘Dexter’), Bella Heathcote and Chloe Moretz (‘Kick-Ass’) all co-star. Check out the new still below.
“‘Dark Shadows’ spawned over 1225 episodes over the years and was a highly atmospheric, spooky soap that featured gothic horror staples like vampires, monsters, witches, werewolves, ghosts and zombies.”
‘Dark Shadows’ is set to hit theatres from 11 May 2012.
