The Luc Besson produced sci-fi thriller ‘Lock-Out’ (formerly known as ‘MS One: Maximum Security’) is certainly raising a few eyebrows. Any Beeson sci-fi project is something to get excited about and with the release of the new trailer which looks pretty awesome in its own right then I think we’re going to have a treat on our hands this April. Guy Pearce (‘The Hurt Locker’) and Maggie Grace -below (‘The Fog’) lead the way in this space-set prison thriller. And new ‘Misfits’ arrival Joseph Gilgun, who appeared as the unforgettable Woody in the acclaimed Shane Meadows drama ‘This Is England’ and its subsequent spin-off TV series for Channel 4, also stars as unhinged prisoner Hydell. The flick is the feature debut from co-writers and co-directors James Mather and Stephen St. Leger which Besson also scripted on. Lennie James (‘The Walking Dead’), Vincent Regan, Jackie Ido, Tim Plester, Yan Droon, Nick Hardin and Anne-Solenne Hatte all co-star. Check out the trailer below.
“A man is wrongly convicted of conspiracy (Pearce) to commit espionage against the U.S. He’s offered his freedom if he can rescue the president’s daughter (Grace) from an outer space prison taken over by violent inmates.”
‘Lock-Out’ is unleashed on audiences on 20 April in the US and from the 13 April here in the UK.
