Director and star of this Summer's thriller 'Black Rock' Katie Aselton has been sharing her experiences in front and behind the camera for her new survival feature. Whilst chatting with EW Aselton she revealed just how revealing it gets in the movie with our troubled trio of lovelies Lake Bell, Kate Bosworth ('Straw Dogs') and the director herself. In the interview (available at the link below) she reveals that the extended and necessary nude scene in the movie was used for several reasons, one of them being an homage to the sexploitation flicks of yesteryear. Alana Costello, Jay Paulson and Anslem Richardson also star in the new feature. Sundance movie 'Black Rock', which was penned by Mark Duplass, is expecting a Summer debut.
"It's me playing by the rules of the genre, and abiding by those rules on my own terms," says Aselton. "It's like, okay I'll do nudity, but it's not going to be in a super sexual way."
And here's the synopsis:
"Three childhood friends set aside their personal issues and reunite for a girls' weekend on a remote island off the coast of Maine. One wrong move turns their weekend getaway into a deadly fight for survival."
