Horror has certainly made its mark once again on the small screen. With the success of AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’ and FX’s ‘American Horror Story’ in recent years it seems every network and his dog is attempting to develop some new form of terrifying TV show. For AMC it’s a no-brainer in their decision to develop ’99 Stories’, a new sci-fi show set in a new 99-story high-rise building in which a group of strangers gets trapped. Due to the incredible success that zombie series ‘The Walking Dead’ has achieved for the network greenlighting more genre shows should be as simple as snow. The series will be penned by David Seltzer (‘The Omen’ (2006)) who discussed the project with the THR and had the following to day. “Each story presents a different kind of challenge for the group. The elevators are in control of destiny, whittling them out by deciding who they deem deserve to go up.”
