BLUE UNDERGROUND FUTURE BRIGHT
I don’t think anyone can argue the Blue Underground is doing a fantastic job on the horror front since their inception. Bill Lustig decidedly left the questionable working conditions at Anchor Bay and decided to start doling out the movies himself through BU, and so far the results have been quite pleasing.
DVD Maniacs got the chance to speak with Lustig recently about what the future looks like for BU, especially on the front of some movies already released under Anchor Bay that Lustig now has the rights to exclusively…
‘I licensed Anchor Bay about 100 titles which rights have begun reverting back to me. I have plans to revisit many of these films as the terms expire including the early Hammers.’
Now that’s some interesting news indeed. He also mentioned that plans are afoot for re-releasing some the classic Argento films with more extras and new transfers. Intriguing to say the least.
