The ‘Robocop’ redo looks to be continuing its recruitment stage and is trying to sign up actress Jennifer Ehle (‘The Ides of March’, ‘Contagion’). The 42 year old star is in negotiations to play the role of Liz Kline, another mystery character whom didn’t appear in Paul Verhoeven’s 1987 original sci-fi action thriller. If Ehle (below) nabs the part in the Jose Padilha helmed reboot she’ll be joining a whole host of talent that includes Samuel L. Jackson (‘The Avengers’), sexy Aussie Abbie Cornish (‘Sucker Punch’), Jackie Earle Haley (‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’) and British talent Gary Oldman (‘The Dark Knight Rises’) and Hugh Laurie (‘House’). Whilst its Swedish-American actor Joel Kinnaman (‘The Killing’, ‘The Darkest Hour’) who’ll be climbing into the metal suit to play the title role.

The ‘RoboCop’ reboot will blast its way into theatres from 9 August 2013.
