Now all grown up star Alexa Vega, famed for her role as Carmen Cortez in the ‘Spy Kids’ franchise, is evolving far beyond her roles in family friendly movies and attempting to embrace her new found sexuality as an actress. The 24 year old hottie was hired by Robert Rodriguez for the role of Killjoy in his new Grindhouse styled sequel ‘Machete Killls’. The actress has been chatting with the Hollywood Reporter and has stated “This was all about owning my sexuality. I worked really hard for it in a way that I never had to work hard for something before.” And we’re certain that Rodriguez’s follow-up is definitely the right platform for that! Already brimming over with gorgeous ladies left, right and center Vega joins the hottest movie line-up we’ve seen in quite some time. Jessica Alba (‘Sin City’), Michelle Rodriguez (‘Resident Evil: Retribution’), Amber Heard (‘Drive Angry’), Vanessa Hudgens (‘Sucker Punch’), Zoe Saldana (‘Avatar’), Sofia Vergara, the Avellan twins (‘Planet Terror’) and Lady Gaga all star along with the less attractive Danny Trejo, Edward James Olmos (‘Dexter’), Charlie Sheen, William Sadler, Mel Gibson and Demian Bichir.
Vega told the Hollywood Reporter:
“I’ve never done anything like this. I’d never felt comfortable enough, and I never thought this would be the project where I’d take a step forward.
The first time I walked out in my outfit on set, everyone was like, ‘Wow, you’re not allowed to wear that!”
The new film finds Machete (Trejo) recruited by the U.S. Government for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man. Machete must battle his way through Mexico to take down a madman cartel leader and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer (Gibson) who has hatched a plan to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space. Machete takes on an army in an effort to dismantle a plan for global anarchy.
