Further enticing all superfans comes FX’s latest tease which brings us one step closer to the second season of ‘American Horror Story’. The network have revealed the first official synopsis for the premiere episode of their new ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ season which is due to air on the 17 October. The new albeit brief plot breakdown can be read below from episode 2.1 which is entitled “Welcome to Briarcliff”. The episode was directed by Bradley Buecker and was penned by Tim Minear. The series sees reappearances from previous cast members Zachary Quinto, Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Evan Peters and Jessica Lange and will also introduce us to a whole host of new characters. James Cromwell (‘LA Confidential’), Joseph Fiennes (‘FlashForward’), Chloe Sevigny, Mark Consuelos, Lizzie Brochere, Franka Potente (‘Creep’), Adam Levine (from ‘Maroon 5’) and Jenna Dewan all join the new season.
