DANIELLE HARRIS IS 'AMONG FRIENDS' WITH GRINDHOUSE ENTERTAINMENT

'Hatchet III' and 'ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2' star Danielle Harris' solo directorial debut has snagged distribution rights in the US. 'Among Friends' has been picked up by Grindstone Entertainment and is due to be unleashed onto DVD via Lionsgate Home Entertainment. No specific release date quite yet but director Harris (below) has this to say about the acquisition. "This is the perfect home for Among Friends, and I'm honored to have such well-respected distributors supporting me on my first feature behind the camera." says Harris. "This is just the beginning of many more to come!" AJ Bowen ('The House of the Devil'), Christopher Backus, Chris Meyer, Jennifer Blanc Biehn ('Bad Ass'), Brianne Davis, Dana Daurey, Kamala Jones, Tanya Newbould, Kane Hodder and Alyssa Lobit (who wrote the script) all star in the project.

"AMONG FRIENDS is a horror (and a comedy, depending on how twisted you are) about a dinner party gone wrong. Set against an 80s backdrop, the good time takes a dark turn when one in the group hijacks the evening in an attempt to help the others come clean about their secret betrayals against one another–and is willing to cut through the bone in order to expose the truth."
