‘X-Men’ director Bryan Singer is reportedly set to executive produce and help develop another potential revival of classic cult sci-fi series ‘The Twilight Zone’. Singer, who recently got the Halloween pilot special of ‘Mockingbird Lane’ aired on NBC, looks hopeful to reboot the series which originally ran from 1959-1964. The Rod Sterling series was subsequently bought back to our screens in both 1985-1989 and then once more in 2002 but of course failed to repeat the success and following of its predecessor. Although no network is attached currently all fingers are pointing to CBS, whom own the rights to the original series. So now a writer is being hunted down to take on the pilot. It’ll be interesting to see if the planned series will keep the traditional anthology style of mix it up a bit for a new (and quickly bored) generation.
