After being pulled left, right and center for months on end now will Alfonso Cuaron’s (‘Childen of Men’) latest effort ‘Gravity’ finally land firmly in its new planned release date? Warner Brothers are once again shifting, but thankfully in a forward direction, Cuaron’s intriguing sci-fi project from its original November release to a 4th October 2013 opening. Sandra Bullock (‘Premonition’) and George Clooney (‘Solaris’) both star in the movie which even legendary director Guillermo del Toro (‘Hellboy’) himself was said to have been “blown away” by an early cut he was lucky enough to view. Now with kudos like that we should be in one heck of a treat this coming October.
Bullock was by no means the first choice for the role after both Angelina Jolie and Natalie Portman were orginally attached. A whole slew of other sexy actresses were also tested for the part that include Naomi Watts (‘The Ring’), Marion Cotillard (‘The Dark Knight Rises’), Abbie Cornish (‘Sucker Punch’), Carey Mulligan (‘Drive’), Sienna Miller, Scarlett Johansson (‘Avengers Assemble’), Blake Lively, Rebecca Hall (‘The Awakening’) and Olivia Wilde (‘Tron: Legacy’).
