An overly early piece of teaser art for Aussie filmmaker Kimble Rendall’s latest project ‘The Nest 3D’ has hit the WEB(!). He’s switched sharks for spiders in this new survival flick where a group of arachnid fodder avoid approaching swarms of Funnel web spiders whilst on a rescue mission in China. Rendall was responsible for last years supermarket shark attack flick ‘Bait 3D’ which starred Xavier Samuel, Sharni Vinson, Phoebe Tonkin and Julian McMahon. Darclight Films will produce the project which Rendall will helm. Interestingly enough the first piece of teaser art from shark sequel ‘Bait 2 3D’ has arrived today which we’ll post up shortly. Rendall, however, will not be involved with the follow-up.
Check out the new teaser art and synopsis for ‘The Nest 3D’ below.
“When an Australian scientist goes missing in the Chinese desert, a team of his friends and colleagues embark on a search and rescue mission. However, once in the wilderness, the search party is forced by a flash fire to abandon its mission, and on seeking shelter in an abandoned building, they find themselves face to face with an even more terrifying threat: the Funnel Webs. Swarms of the deadliest subterranean spiders have been driven to the surface by the heat, and now the mission has quickly become one of survival.”
