Hot on the heels of the new promo pic for NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ which arose yesterday comes the welcome announcement finally of an official premiere date. The new show which will be based around the life of Hannibal Lecter and FBI agent Will Graham which precedes the events of Thomas Harris’ ‘Red Dragon’ novel where only us as the audience will be aware of Dr Lecter’s murderous side and culinery cannabilism. The Bryan Fuller (‘Dead Like Me’) headed show will premiere on 4th April at 10:00pm and stars Mads Mikkelsen (‘Casino Royale’) as the human hungry one and British actor Hugh Dancy (‘Martha Marcy May Marlene’) as Will Graham. The impressive supporting cast features Laurence Fishburne (‘Event Horizon’), Caroline Dhavernas, Molly Shannon, Ellen Muth, Anna Chlumsky (‘Veep’), Lance Henriksen (‘Aliens’), Gillian Anderson, Chelan Simons, Ellen Greene, Gina Torres and Raul Esparza.
