Australian actress and model Emma Booth is the latest to join ABC’s new horror pilot ‘Gothica’. Booth (below) is set to play Dr. Victor Frankenstein’s bride Madeline Usher in the new series set in the present day which forms an assembly or sorts of classic horror icons such as Dracula, Frankenstein, Jekyll and Hyde and Dorian Gray. Brit actress Janet Montgomery has already snared the lead role as Grace Van Helsing, a New York journalist who takes over her family’s hometown newspaper. Whilst ‘Fringe’ star Seth Gabel has also signed on to play the role of Roderick Usher, “the district attorney and heir to the once-powerful Usher family who is carrying secrets”. Tracie Thoms, Christopher Egan, Tom Ellis and Raza Jaffrey are also on board the intriguing new project.
