“The El Rey Network is going to be the home of kick-ass entertainment”. Not my words but the words of talented filmmaker Robert Rodriguez. El Ray is the name of his new English-language cable network which will be debuting later this year on Comcast. And it appears that a franchise which has been away from our screens for some time will be making a reappearance in a TV format. ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’, the action horror flick directed by Rodriguez back in 1996 and co-penned by buddy Quentin Tarantino, is set to emerge onto our small screens as a new series set to premiere on the new network. The movie, which starred George Clooney and Tarantino as the Gecko brothers fighting against viscious South of the Border vamps, spawned two less successful sequels back in 1999.
